Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 20 May 1942

Mrs. Josephine Batchelder, 86, former Ionian, died Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock
at her home in Lansing.  She is survived by four daughters and three sons. 
George Wood of Ionia is a son.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 21, at 1:30 p.m. from the Myers
funeral home.  Interment will be in Easton cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Batchelder had been a resident of Lansing for three years having
moved there from Ionia.  She was a member of the Reorganized church of the
Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Forrest C. Batchelder, three sons, George M.
Wood, of Ionia; A.L. Wood of Muskegon Heights, John J. Wood, Lansing; four
daughters, Mrs. Ada Kinney, Lansing, Mrs. Raymond Gilmore, Holt, Mrs. Alta
Inskeek, Lansing, and Mrs. Orville Davis, Lansing.  Also 29 grandchildren, 31
great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
