Gladys Batdorff Passes Away

Funeral services were held on Monday at one o'clock at the O'Brien-Gerst Funeral 
Chapel, Grand Rapids for Mrs.Gladys Batdorff, a former local area Resident. 
Rev.Simon Nagel of the Eastmont Reformed Church officiated with burial in the 
Evergreen cemetery at Lansing.

Mrs.Batdorff was formerly employed in the office of the Oldsmobile plant in 
Lansing and she and her husband Clyde were former local area and Lansing 
residents before she moved Friday. They resided on a farm on the Clinton Trail, 
northwest of Lake Odessa and he was stricken with a heart attack en route to 
their work at Lansing when they resided here. She sold part of the farm about 3 
1/2 years ago to Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Fawley.

Clyde will also be remembered by many of the older residents when he resided 
here and was a teacher in the local school system.

Surviving are a son Elwood of Lansing; a daughter Mrs.Robert (Joyce) McQuiston 
of Wichita, Kansas; a brother Stewart Farr of Florida; a sister Mrs.Wallace 
(Dorothy) Tiffany of grand Rapids ad three grandchildren.
