The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, December 29, 1932

Mrs. Florence Bates, 31, was buried in the Lake Odessa cemetery Wednesday 
following the funeral services conducted in Sunfield.  She died Monday 
following a long illness.  She was a graduate of the Woodland high school and 
a member of the Evangelical church at Sunfield where the services were held.  

She leaves her husband, Arthur E. Bates; three children, Gerald, Doris and 
Janice; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schneider and a sister, Leona, of 
Woodland.
