JACK L. BATES
Jack L. Bates, 60, of Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of Portland, died May 4, 1994.

Mr. Bates was born in Portland Oct. 18, 1934, the son of Vern and Mildred Bates. He
worked in Milford on the Oldsmobile proving grounds before moving to Palm Harbor.

He is survived by his brother, LaVern Bates of Portland.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bates, and sister, Joy Bates.

Services were held May 7 in Florida. Interment followed in Sylvan Abby at Safety
Arbor, Fla.
