Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Jul 1980

Funeral services for Floyd A. Bates, 79, of Ionia were held Friday afternoon at
2 p.m. from the Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nolan Williams
officiating.  Church organist was Mrs. Evelyn Waters.

Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Pallbearers were grandsons:
Gary, Larry and Duane Kimmel and Michael, Douglas and Timothy Bates.  Following
graveside services, a luncheon was prepared and served to family and friends at
Pine Vista.  Arrangements were by Leddick Funeral Home.
