BATSON, HARVEY H.:
   THE ADVERTISER, Saranac, MI, 4-14-1904, front page, col. 3:  "Harvey Batson
was born in Brandel Co, Canada in 1844.
   When he was 9 years of age, his father came to Ionia County, Michigan, and
purchased the farm in Easton township now occupied by George Pratt, settling
there with his family.
    Harvey was married to Miss Mary Smith and soon after moved to the farm in
Keene township where he has since lived and where he died Thursday, April 7th.
   The immediate survivors of the deceased are a widow, 2 brothers and a host of
friends.
   Burial was in Pinckney cemetery."
