Ionia Daily Sentinel, 16 Jul 1956

Albert R. Bauer, 54, of Star route, Ionia, died Sunday evening at the Ionia
County Memorial hospital after an illness of 14 months.  He was born June 3,
1902 in Bloomington, Ind., the son of Lewis and Julia Bauer.  He attended the
Bloomington schools.

In February of 1923 he was married to Gladys Reed at Bloomington.  They moved to
Lansing in 1926 and in 1947 the family moved to Ionia where he was employed at
the Michigan Reformatory.

Surviving besides his wife, Gladys, are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Roton of Dallas,
Texas and Mrs. Agnes Christian of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers Michael Bauer
of Bloomington, Ind. and Samuel Bauer of Lansing.

Funeral services will be held from the Stone-Kauffman funeral home, Wednesday at
2:30 p.m. with burial in Balcom cemetery.
