Mrs. Cathleen “Kay” M. Bauer (nee Brooks), age 86, died Monday, July 18, 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lester, in 1997.  Kay was
an elementary school teacher for many years in the Ionia public school system.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Charles) Brown of Comstock Park; her son
Daniel (Barbara) Bauer M.D. of Grand Rapids; and grandsons, Justin Brown and
John Bauer.

A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held at Sunset
Memorial Gardens in Ionia, Rev. Helen Havlik of North Park Presbyterian Church
officiating.

Memorial services are Friday, July 29 at 3 p.m. in the Pilgrim Manor chapel,
also with Rev. Helen Havlik officiating.

Memorial contributions in Kay’s honor may be given to the North Park
Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 500 North Park NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525; or
to the Pilgrim Manor Foundation, 2000 Leonard St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
