Portland Observer, 5 Apr 1934

Aged Collins Man Passed at Adrian.

Word has been received here of the death in Adrian last night of John Baugh, 
73, who passed away at the home of his son, Clifford after a short illness from 
pneumonia.  The body was brought to Portland today for the funeral the date of 
which has not been set at the time the Observer went to press.

Mr. Baugh came to this community from Chicago 28 years ago and bought the 
Staley farm at Collins, where he had resided since.  Last fall he and Mrs. 
Baugh went to Adrian to spend the winter with their son, closing their farm 
home in the meantime.  Besides the widow and son, Clifford, another son, 
Willard, resides at Detroit.  Mrs. Baugh is a sister of George Fisher.
