Mrs. Pheba Anna Baughman, 91, died Friday afternoon at an Ionia nursing home 
where she had lived since 1949.

She was born in Easton county December 17, 1870, the daughter of John and 
Roseltha Sheets and following her marriage at Charlotte to James Henry Havens 
moved to Matherton where her husband was a blacksmith.  He died in 1908 at the 
age of 44.

She later married Daniel Baughman and lived at Marion in Osceola county.  
Following his death in 1936, Mrs. Baughman made her home with her children 
until she suffered a stroke in 1949.

She was a former member of the Marion Methodist church and Ladies Aid society.

Surviving are two sons, George M. Havens of Lansing, and Lawrence Havens of 
Belding; 14 grandchildren.  A son, Lloyd, and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Green 
and Mrs. Lois Godbold, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be Monday at 2:30 p.m., at Stone-Kauffman funeral home in 
Ionia with temporary entombment at Balcom cemetery.  Burial will be at East 
Plains cemetery.  The Rev. Harold A. Jayne of First Methodist church will 
officiate.
