Ted was born on November 26, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant and passed away on February 17, 2014. He graduated from Coleman Public Schools. Ted retired from TRW after 32 years. As a part-time hobby he worked for a local farmer for nine years. After retirement he enjoyed his weekends away at his land in Kalkaska. He was always busy there. His greatest joy was fishing with his friends and granddaughter, Madison. He and Madison also loved geocaching. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Monica; children, Sandy (John) Weber of St. Johns, and Joel (Mark Bocanegra) Bauman of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are his grandchildren whom he loved very much, Jessica (Dustin Hunter) Weber, Jordan (Alyssa Rademacher) Weber, Sydney Weber, Madison Weber, and Courtney Bauman; sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Hebner of Midland, Elneda Shady (Dick) of Irwin, ID, his twin sister Judy (Ed) Guth of Milford, OH; brothers, Larry (Virginia) of Lansing, and Charlie of Nashville, TN; mother-in-law, Grace Fedewa; brothers-in-law, Stan (Linda) Fedewa, Al (Char) Fedewa, of Portland, Tom Fedewa, and Mike (Deb) Fedewa of Westphalia; sisters-in-law, Betty (Mark) Tabor of Wacousta, Sharon Peake, Mary (John) Gross of Portland, and Norma (Joe) McGarry of Potterville; many nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia, with Rev. Mathias Thelen presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday, and a Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Westphalia Fire Department, St. Vincent De Paul Society of St. Johns, or St. Mary's Catholic School, in memory of Ted.
