Miss Leila Baxter, aged 25 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baxter, 
formerly a resident of Palo, died at Chicago, Monday night at 11:45 o’clock 
following an illness caused by diabetes.  Miss Baxter was a niece of Mr. and 
Mrs. Eli Kendall of N. Bridge street and spent some time here last summer on a 
visit.  Funeral services were held at Palo this afternoon and interment was in 
the cemetery there, Mr. and Mrs. Kendall and Mrs. Ed Sagendorf attending the 
funeral.
