Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Baxter, 72, who died at her home in Lake 
Odessa Saturday following a long illness, were held in Calvary United Brethren 
church Monday at 2:00 o’clock.  Rev. Frank Moxon read the service and interment 
was at Lakeside cemetery.

Mrs. Baxter was born December 25, 1868, near Big Rapids.  On July 4, 1887 she 
married Ormal Baxter, and the couple spent most of their lives near Carson 
City.  They moved to Lake Odessa about four years ago.

Besides the husband, she is survived by seven children, Floyd, Mrs. Mary Bupp, 
and Mrs. Mamie Coulson, of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Sadie Young, Mrs. Bessie Davis and 
Ted Baxter of Lansing, and Clare Baxter of Vickeryville; two sisters, Mrs. 
Freda Carey of Ypsilanti, and Mrs. Mida Smith, of Crystal.
