Lake Odessa wave-Times Fri. October 27, 1916

Catharine Bayha, nee Mueller, was born at Muenchingen, Wuertemberg, Germany, 
March 28, 1829. She came to the United States about 1854. In 1857 she was 
married to George Bayha. This union was blessed with one daughter, Sophia 
Catharine, who died in 1873 at the age of 15 years. Her husband George Bayha, 
died March 1, 1900. She was feeble for a number of years, but most of the time 
was able to do her work. She was afflicted with heart disease. About two weeks 
ago her condition became more serious. when she was placed in bed Sunday, 
October 8, she became unconscious and remained so until 9 p.m Tuesday, October 
10, when she peacefully passed away, aged 87 years, 6 months and 12 days. She 
was a good christian, a faithful member of Zion Lutheran church and an esteemed 
member of the Ladies Aid Society. She was always willing to contribute to the 
cause of missions and to other church purposes. 

The funeral service conducted by Rev. G. F. Klindworth was held at her late 
residence, Friday, October 13, at 2 p.m. Interment was made in Lakeside 
cemetery, where she now rests beside her husband and daughter. She leaves her 
sister-in-law, Mrs. Christinia Miller, of Woodbury, four nephews and two nieces.

singers and to all others who assisted us in the sad hours following the death 
and at the burial of our loved one, Catharine Bayha.
