Doris F. Baylis, 78, 2840 Whites Bridge Road, Belding, died early Sunday 
morning at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Baylis was born December 16, 
1905 in Greenbush Township, Clinton County, daughter of John and Leona Couter 
Kuhns.

She is survived by her husband, Ervin; three daughters, Mrs. Doug (Evelyn) 
Sherwood, Ionia, Mrs. Ron (Betty) Vining, Kalamazoo, Mrs. Vern (Diana) Rowley, 
Ionia; five sons, Jack Baylis, Lloyd Baylis, both of Belding, Richard Baylis, 
Tom Baylis, both of Ionia, John Baylis, Brighton; three brothers, Elmo Kuhns, 
Howell, Ford, Kuhns, St. Johns, Paul Kuhns, Arizona; 28 grandchildren and 21 
great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roetman Funeral Home, Ionia.  Burial is 
at 3 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery, St. Johns.  Memorial contributions to the Eastern 
United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home.
