Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

GREGORY LEE BAYLIS

Died September 14, 2022-age 66 of Greenville.
Born December 21, 1955 in Greenville Mich. son of Jack & Emily (Walker) Baylis.
Graduated from Belding High School in 1974.
Married his high school sweetheart, Elaine (Arndt) in 1974.
Joined the United States Navy after graduation & served during the Vietnam War 
era.
Greg & Elaine made their home in Norfolk & Virginia until 1963, when they moved 
back to Michigan.
Early years he worked in home Construction & retired from Amway Corporation in 
December 2018 after 25 years a a set-up mechanic.
Greg loved woodworking making many pieces of furniture & craft items in his 
garage. Especially proud of the wooden boat he built.
They enjoyed camping with their 5th wheel, taking many trips, going to 
Mt.Rushmore in S. Dakota, Bar Harbor,Maine & in Holland,Mich.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters,Carole Olson & Jean Boroff & a 
nephew,Daniel Heaven.
Survived by his wife Elaine of 48 years, along with his son & daughter-in-
law,Jeremy & Katrina Baylis and grandchildren, Alec and Alyssa, of Alabama; 
daughter,Jennifer Baylis of Greenville; sister,Jan & Ted Beckwith; brother-in-
law, Keith Boroff of Belding & Gay & Cheryl Arndt of Holland; many  nieces & 
nephews & their spouses & many Baylis family members.
No visitation or formal funeral service.
Private committal services with Military honors, will take place at Rest Haven 
Memory Gardens.
