August 13, 2022 BEACH Marilyn June (Walker) Beach was welcomed into heaven very peacefully from home on August 5, 2022 with the help of Hospice, surrounded by her daughters and GSD Tess. She was 89 years old. She was born Oct. 30, 1933 in Ann Arbor, MI to Amanda and Gottlieb Walker. She attended schools in Saline and graduated in 1952. She married Farrell Beach in 1954 and they had 3 daughters;Bonnie (Tom Listerman) Gussie (Amanda-Doug Powell) and Jeannie and one grandson,Ryan Powell They were married for 45 years. Marilyn worked hard and was busy her entire life. She was a bookkeeper in a dress shop and worked in the mail room at Argus Cameras after high school, a Mothee, drove a school bus in the 1960's in Washtenaw County, and delivered bake goods for her Father's bakery. In 1971, the family moved from Saline to Muir. There she was instrumental in rebuilding and running a horse farm and family business which still is successful today and raised Angus Cattle for the next 20 years. She held strong to her faith and made sure her 3 daughters had a strong foundation in theirs as well. She had a lifelong love of horses, especially Arabians, German Shepherd Dogs and kids. She was an avid gardener and loved her chickens. She was an accomplished horsewoman herself but found the most joy in helping and watching her 3 daughters excel in the horse show ring. She helped dozens of 4-H kids with their horse projects by starting and leading the Swinging Gaits 4-H Club in Ionia County for decades and help build the horse barns on the fairgrounds.
