Ionia Standard – Friday, 18 December 1896
Saranac, Dec. 17 – Miss Hattie Beadle, daughter of John Beadle, died very 
suddenly at her home last Saturday morning.  Miss Beadle had been in poor 
health for some time, but that morning she had remarked that she felt 
unusually well, and was about her domestic duties when death came.  Her 
funeral was held Monday afternoon from the M. E. church, Rev. W. H. Wright 
officiating.
