Ionia County News, 9 Jun 1947

Matthew Beahan died at his home in Ionia township, Saturday morning, Jan. 4.  
Funeral was from SS. Peter and Paul church Tuesday morning at nine o’clock with 
a nephew, Rev. Thomas Beahan, of Farmington, officiating at the Solemn Requiem 
Mass.  Burial was in St. John the Baptist cemetery, Hubbardston.

Mr. Beahan was born in North Plains township, Jan. 4, 1863, and had lived in 
Ionia township since 1921.  In November, 1895, he was married to Miss Margaret 
Hogan, of Hubbardston, who died several years ago.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bernard Vogt, of Ionia.
