The funeral of Mrs. William Beals who died in California the middle of March, 
was held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Thane Benedict, Pleasant 
street, Thursday afternoon at 2:30.  The Rev. W. K. Spencer officiating and was 
assisted by the Rev. Harry E. Porter.  The bearers were Morris Phelps, S.C.L. 
Brown, Abe Engleman, John Speckin, Fred Cutler and James Callow.  The burial 
took place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.

Those here from out of the city to attend the service were her daughter and 
family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pitt, of Lansing, Mrs. William Speigle, Mrs. William 
Klett, Mrs. Franklin Kuntz and Miss Elizabeth Selker all of Fort Wayne, Ind., 
Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Selker and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Selker, of Toledo, Ohio, and Mr. 
and Mrs. J. L. Stites, of Grand rapids.

Miss Ruby Sunderlin of Lansing was in the city Thursday to attend the funeral 
of Mrs. William Beals.
