Ionia Sentinel - Friday, April 6, 1877

Mrs. Charles Bean died on Sunday evening. She has been confined to the house 
ever since her return from the centennial last fall. Mrs. Bean was a lady 
highly esteemed by her acquaintances, and her death leaves a vacant place in 
the home and social circles that cannot be filled. An affectionate wife and 
sincere Christian woman, her loss will be deeply mourned. The funeral occurs 
this afternoon at two o'clock, at the residence.
