Portland Review, 28 Oct 1971

Richard H. Beard, 49 of 437 East Street, a member of the Merchant Marine, died 
unexpectedly last week in New York City.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Rick and Timothy of Portland; his 
mother, Mrs. Robert Beard S. of Lyons; a brother, Robert Jr. of Portland; and two 
sisters, Mrs. June Henry of Portland and Mrs. Betty Birky of Gibson City, 
Illinois.
