Juanita Marie Beard, 81, of Orleans, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 
7, 2004 at Long Lake, Orleans.  She was born August 2, 1922, in Lansing, the 
daughter of Irving and Ethel Blood Osborne.  

Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be 
greatly missed by her family and friends.  Juanita married on May 13, 1946, in 
Kentucky, to Gordon Lee Beard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Beard, on August 11, 1979; 
and her parents.  Juanita is survived by her children, Judy Marie and Larry 
Ackerson of Mason, Peggy and Timothy Pinter of Okemos, Terry Lee and Merry 
Beard, Nancy Ann and Ernest Clark, Larry Michael and Charlene Beard, all of 
Orleans; 16 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Howe of 
DeWitt; and brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Edith Beard of Orleans.

Funeral and committal services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastor Ken Martin of Belding Bible Church 
officiating.  A luncheon will follow the funeral service at Belding Bible 
Church.  Interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.  Visitation is from 2 
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be 
made to Carson Home Hospice of Sparrow Hospital.  Envelopes are available at 
the funeral home.
