Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1958

LAKE ODESSA- Gordon Robert Beard, son of Robert and Wanda (Jackson) Beard, 
route two, Lake Odessa, died Monday about 5 p.m. at his home after a 
lingering illness. He was born November 27, 1957.

Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Elaine and Susan, and three 
brothers, Larry , Ronald and Norman all at home; his maternal grandmother, 
Mrs. Cora Jackson and his paternal grandfather, Ernest Beard.

The body reposes at Pickens funeral chapel where the funeral will be held 
Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery and the Rev. Paul 
Robinson will officiate.
