JOANNA CATHERINE BEARD
Died Thursday June 24, 2021-age 90 of Portland
Born August 15, 1930 daughter of Martin & Bertha (Feldpausch) Pline.
A lifelong member of St.Patrick Catholic Church in Portland.
Loved to play cards, bowling, camping and road trips to the family cabin in 
Boon.
Wife of a farmer, most pride & joy in her family.
Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald A.Beard.
Survived by her 8 children;Annabelle (Dale) Huhn, Donald "Tex" (Rosemary) Beard, 
terry Beard, Gary (Deb) Beard, Dan Beard, Bill (Laura) Beard, Chris (Karen) 
Beard, and Andy (Becky) Beard; 23 grandchildren; & 34 great-grandchildren with 
two on the way.
She was one of twelve children & is survived by seven brothers & sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday, June  30, 2021 by Rev. 
Mike Alber at St.Patrick Catholic Church, Portland.
Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery.
The family will received friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m  with Rosary being 
prayed at 7:30 p.m. at Lehman Funeral Home, Bridge st. Portland.
Contributions may be made to the family, Four Seasons Assisted Living or 
Heartland Hospice in memory of Joanna.
