DALE “JAKE”): HURST FUNERAL HOME OBITUARIES www.timeformemory.com/hurst/obituary.cfm?id=27726: "CATHERINE LILLIAN 'KATE' BEARDSLEE 1916-2007 - Catherine Lillian 'Kate' Beardslee age 91 of Greenville died Friday May 18, 2007 at Laurels of Kent in Lowell, MI. She was born in Easton Township, Ionia County on January 9, 1916 the daughter of Henry and Ada Zimmerman Hansen. She was married on February 3, 1934 in Angola, Indiana to L. Dale 'Jake' Beardslee. She worked for 42 years alongside Wadena Kingsbury helping her manage Gittleman's in downtown Greenville. She and her husband joined 1st United Methodist Church in 1957. Kate and Dale loved to play cards and entertain and belonged to two different supper clubs. Her husband preceded her in death on June 21, 1996 and also her brothers Alvin and David Hansen and sister Mary Louise Tiffany. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Richard Stout of Moline. Illinois, her grand daughters, Debra Stout of Greenville, Pamela King of Moline, IL and Sheila and John Burden of Sandy Hook, CT, great grandchildren Nicholas King, Kathrine King, Braedon King of Moline, IL, Allison Vance of Greenville, Jacob and Spencer Burden of Sandy Hook, CT, her sisters Esther and Harold Olsen of Six Lakes, Betty Garrow of Pentwater, Martha and Jim Sebring of Breckenridge, Janice and Ray Wilson of Vestaburg, brothers Bob and Dorothy Hansen of Muskegon, Lawrence (Shorty) and Marge Hansen of Stanton, LeRoy and Betty Hansen of Mt. Pleasant, Sherman and Ellen Hansen of Grand Blanc, Gordon and Vivian Hansen of Stanton, Larry and Alida Hansen of Monroe, LA, sister-in-law Priscilla Hansen of Greenville, brother-in-law Howard Tiffany of Gowen and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 26, 2007 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Ted Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be given to Greenville First Methodist Church."
