The Belding News, Thursday, November 10, 1904


Fayette Beardsley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. H. Price, in the 
First ward, last Friday, after four months’ illness of heart disease, aged 72 
years and 4 months.  

He was born in the state of New York and came to Michigan in 1850, locating 
near Albion, where he resided a short time before removing to Isabella county 
where he homesteaded a piece of land upon which he resided for many years.  
When he was 26 years of age, he married Miss Lorenda McDonald.  Two sons and 
two daughters were born to them.  His wife died 34 years ago.  For the past 
six years he has resided with his daughter, Mrs. Price, in this city, during 
which time he has been an invalid and great sufferer.

Funeral services were held at the house last Sunday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by 
Rev. H. N Spear.  Burial in the Belding cemetery.
