The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, April 2, 1931

Mrs. Thomas Beattie, about 70 years of age, former resident of Keene, died 
Wednesday night in Pompeii of pneumonia, just one week after the death of her 
youngest son Floyd, who died of the same disease. Mr. Beattie died one week 
ago.

Another son, Claude, of Flint, and two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Clapp, of Alma, 
and Mrs. Flossie Fraker, of Pompeii, and six grandchildren survive.

The funeral services and burial will be in Pompeii Saturday.
