Ionia Standard, 21 Dec 1876

Ella, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N.H. Beattie, of this city, died on
Friday night last of consumption.  She had been in poor health for a long time
and went to Colorado sometime ago hoping to improve it.  For a time the climate
of that state seemed beneficial, but the improvement was only temporary.  Mr.
Beattie went after her and brought her home a few weeks since, and since her
return she has failed rapidly.  The funeral was held at the house on Monday
afternoon and was largely attended.

Cemetery.]
