Kenneth J. Becker, 93, of Portland passed Jan. 15.

He was born in Alger June 14, 1908 the son of Clarence and Addie (Clarke)
Becker.  Mr. Becker was a 50 year member of the Portland United Methodist Church
and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1926 to 1932.  He was very
active in the Portland Area Service Group, was a member of PROP (People reaching
out to People), and donated many hours to Meals on Wheels.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.

Surviving are his children, John (Janean) West of Portland, George (Donna)
Becker of Prescott, Barbara Becker-Sherrard of Portland, and Thomas (fiancée
Anna) Becker of Alger; 13 grandchildren 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Violet
Hill of DeWitt; several nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Scott K. Otis Jan. 18 at the Portland United
Methodist Church, with interment at Portland Cemetery.  Arrangements were
handled by Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to the Portland United Methodist Church or the
Portland Area Service Group.
