Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, March 28, 1960

Francis O. Becker, 55, North State road, died Sunday from injuries received 
in an automobile accident near Lansing.

He was employed at Ionia Manufacturing company in materials control and 
operated a drive-in restaurant north of Ionia on M66.

Surviving besides his wife, Elvira, are three sisters, Mrs. Grace Callahan 
of Detroit, Mrs. Louise Morris and Mrs. Josephine Campbell.

Funeral will be conducted Wednesday at the McInnes-Desmond funeral home in 
Highland Park. Interment will be at Acacia Park cemetery.

Frederick K. McDaniel, of Roseville, commander of the Veterans of Foreign 
War was injured seriously in the collision that killed Becker. 

McDaniel was returning from a veterans meeting at Traverse City. With him 
were Kenneth I. White of Mount Clemens, who was driving, and Niccolo Oddo of 
Detroit. Their car collided with one driven by Becker.
