P.A. Beckett, who was killed in action on Feb. 14. Lieut. Beckett was in America for about two years, visiting his parents here and living for a time in Arizona. Shortly after the war broke out he returned to England, feeling that his duty called him there. He has been engaged in action in France since, and it is probable that his death occurred during the recent big drive, though the details were not communicated in the telegram sent by the war office to his sister in England. It was from her that the parents learned his fate.
