Lake Odessa Wave, Mar 1908

Henrietta C. Jordan was born in Royalton township, Fulton Co. Ohio, July 15, 
1839.  She died March 16, 1908, age 68 years, 8 months.  She was united in 
marriage to William S. Beckham August 18, 1861 at Ogdon, Lenawee Co. Mich.  
They moved to Odessa township in April 1869 and settled on the farm where she 
lived until death has taken her away.

Mr. Beckham died Jan. 24, 1883.  Mrs. Beckham is survived by one daughter Mrs. 
Austin Root, two grandchildren, William and Linnie Root, four brothers, Samuel 
Jordon of Sutherland, Iowa; Joseph Jordon of North Yamhill, Oregon; H. Clay 
Jordan of Battle Creek, Iowa, Norton Jordan of Eliotopia, Washington; also by 
three sisters, Hulda Baker of Adrian, Mich.; Mary Davison of Morenci, Mich.; 
Sybil Baker of Alberta Canada.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church conducted 
by the pastor, Rev. Prestidge, and burial was made in Lakeside cemetery.

Among those from away to attend the funeral were a brother, Samuel Jordan of 
Sutherland, Ia. and a sister Mrs. Hulda Baker of Adrian.
