At the time of his death Mr. Beckhold was 65 years of age. He had been in the employ of the Grand Trunk Railway company for several years. At one time Mr. Beckhold was flagman at the Cleveland street crossing, but was later changed to the Mill street crossing, the position at which he was employed at the time of his death. Mr. Beckhold had been at his work Sunday, returning home about five o’clock. He was taken suddenly ill and died soon after the doctor arrived. Mr. Beckhold had been a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge for many years. Besides his wife, he leaves one brother, Aaron Beckhold of Lake Odessa.
