Aaron Beckhold Passes After Three Years of Poor Health with Four Months Confined to His Bed. Mr.Aaron Beckhold, a loyal Christian gentleman, passed away at his home on North Main street Saturday, July 30. For three years he has suffered with a lingering illness that was incurable and although his family realized his condition it seemed not t make it easier when the end came. Mr. Beckhold was a loyal citizen and a kind man, ever ready to do a kindness to a neighbor or friend. The funeral was a held at the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. George J.Start giving the sermon and Mr and Mrs Orville Deardorff and Mrs Charles Stahl and son Kenneth accompanied by Miss Stahl furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside. OBITUARY Aaron Beckhold son of Henry and Elizabeth Beckhold, was born March 13, 1869, in Campbell township. He died July 30, 1932, at the age of 63 years, four months, 13 days. He was united in marriage on January 7, 1894 to Miss Anna Halling of Florindale, Ontario. To this union three children were born; Frank and Mrs Fred Berndt of Odessa township, and Charles Henry who died in infancy. When 14 years of age he moved with his parents from Campbell township to Odessa township where he resided until eight years ago when he moved to Lake Odessa where he has since made his home. Mr. Beckhold was stricken three and one-half years ago and was always patient and cheerful, believing firmly that what God doeth. He doeth right. He was always happy to have his friends call. He has not left his bed since March 13, 1932. Twelve year ago Mr.Beckhold was converted under the preaching of Rev. B.A. Hammond and was baptized and became a member of the East Odessa Wesleyan Methodist church. He was a faithful member and gave much of his means and time to the support and extension of the Kingdom of God. Besides the faithful wife and son and daughter there are four grandchildren to mourn their loss. He was fully prepared to meet his Creator and in his last earthly days he made all plans for the services that were conducted Tuesday. Oh, that dear one, how we loved him; Oh, how hard to give him up. But an angel came down for him And removed him, from our flock.
