His daughter, Mrs.Henry Doerr of tis place and is son, Aaron, also oaf this place were at his bedside when the end came. Mr.Beckhold was born in Germany, 75 years ago and when 17 years of age removed to Canada. He afterward came to Michigan, settling in Campbell and 27 years ago he settled in Odessa, on the farm now occupied by Aaron Beckhold. Fifty years ago he was married to Elizabeth Grody and to them were born three children, all of whom survive him-Mrs.Henry Doerr, Aaron Beckhold of this place and Jacob of Ionia. Mrs.Beckhold died 13 years ago and three years ago he was married to Elizabeth Stickler, who survived him. Mr.Beckhold was a man of sterling character, and one who was most highly respected in the community where the great part of his life was spent, and his departure from earth is regretted by those who have known him so well. Aside from Mrs.Doerr and Mr. Beckhold, Mrs.Stephen Yoder of this place and Mrs.W.M.Walker, a granddaughter of the deceased of Lowell, attended the funeral.
