Fred L. Beckhold, 59, of Route 2, Lake Odessa, died Saturday at Pennock Hospital
in Hastings.  He was born November 21, 1925, in Lake Odessa, the son of Frank
and Lule Koutz Beckhold.

He attended Lake Odessa schools and married Phyllis Franco November 22, 1945, in
Brooklyn, New York.  He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was
employed at Oldsmobile for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; one son, Rocky of Portland; one daughter,
Mrs. Roger (Dee) Manshum of Lake Odessa; his father, Frank and stepmother, Zella
Beckhold; and four grandchildren.  One brother Richard preceded him in death in
April of 1969.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel
in Lake Odessa with the Rev. George Speas officiating.  Burial will be in
Lakeside Cemetery.  The family will be at the chapel on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
