The Portland Review & Observer, Monday, July 5, 1982

George L. Beckwith of 14829 S. Clintonia Rd., Portland died June 26 at his 
home.  he was 81.  Mr. Beckwith was born Oct. 15, 1900 in Lake Ann, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Mrs. Sandra Tucker of Portland; 
three brothers, Walter of Texas and Clayton of DeWitt, a half-brother, John 
Beckwith of Ohio; three sisters, Neva Damon of Lansing, Leota Segar of 
Arizona, half sister Mary Beth Hansknecht of Detroit; three grandchildren; and 
three great grandchildren.

Mr. Beckwith was a retired hammerman from Federal Drop Forge in Lansing.

Services were held Tuesday, June 29 at Neller Funeral Home in Portland with 
Rev. Bryan Coates officiating.  Burial was in Danby Cemetery.
