Helen L. Beckwith, 81, of Portland died Aug. 29, 1992.  She was born in 
Williamston on Jan. 10, 1911, the daughter of Ernest and Minnie (Lillywhite) 
Miller.  She was a resident of this area for 48 years and a member of the 
Danby Cemetery Society.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kay Tucker of Portland; three step-
grandchildren; and two sisters, Susie Spearbrecker of Laingsburg and Mildred 
Truman of North Carolina.  

No services were held.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American 
Heart Association of Michigan.  Arrangements by Gorsline-Runciman Neller 
Chapel, Portland.
