The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Thursday, April 7, 1908

Mrs. Louisa Maria Beckwith died at her late home, 236 West Washington street, 
on Sunday, March 31.  The funeral was attended from the house Friday, April 3, 
at 2 p.m., Rev. G. W. Moore officiating.  The singing was by Mrs. Eugene Smith 
and Mrs. Peer.  During Wednesday and Thursday many friends called to express 
their sympathy and many flowers were over and around the casket in memory of 
the deceased and as tokens of sympathy for the relatives.

Deceased was born in Florence, St. Joseph county, Michigan, September 1, 
1852.  She was married to Horace l. Beckwith November 18, 1868 at Three 
Rivers, Michigan.

Four children were born to them, of whom three survive: Kathryn M. Beckwith, 
Cleveland O.; Richard G. Beckwith, Muskegon, Mich.; and Hazel M. Beckwith, 
Ionia.  Burial in Highland Park.
