A message conveying the intelligence of her serious illness reached the family in time so that her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lowden; and her son, Robert Beebe, were with her at the time of her death. The remains were brought to Smyrna, where funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 o’clock in the afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mr. Biss of Belding. Interment was in Smyrna cemetery. Nancy Agnes Emery was born in Perthshire, Scotland, March 11, 1853, and came with her parents to this country when she was four years old. She was united in marriage to Lester L. Beebe in Feb. 1873. They came to Smyrna in 1886. To them five children were born: Walter W., of Belfield, N.D.., Robert L. of Hastings, Guy E. and Blanche M. of Smyrna, and Agnes E., who died at an early age. Besides her husband and children four brothers and a sister were here to attend the funeral.
