Funeral services were held from the home, Tuesday afternoon, in charge of Rev. J. H. Bancroft. Burial was made in Portland cemetery. Miss Josephine Worden was born at Manilus, New York, July 26, 1850, and came to Michigan with her parents when a young girl, settling at Mason. In 1877 she was married to John Beech, coming to Portland from Mason 27 years ago. Besides the husband she is survived by one daughter and one son, Mrs. Jennie Maud Hudson, of Lansing, and Fred Beech, of Portland. The out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. James Heald, of Williamston; Mr. and Mrs. Abe Bibble, and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Simmons, of Mt. Pleasant; Fred Beech and family, Royce Beech and family, George Beech and family, Ivan Beech and family, and Ira Beech, all of Grand Rapids; Vern Bunker and two daughters, of Mason; Mrs. Sidney Brummett of Lansing.
