The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 20, 1950

Mrs. Mayme Beecher, 75, a former Ionia resident, died Thursday afternoon at 
the home of her son, Robert, in Gaylord where she had resided for the past 
several years.  

She was the widow of Spencer Beecher who was a steward at the Ionia state 
hospital for many years.  He died in January, 1942.  While in Ionia, they 
lived on Yeomans street.

Surviving are two sons, Robert and C. Spencer Beecher and several 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist 
church of Ionia.  The Rev. Lamb of Gaylord will officiate.  Interment will be 
in Balcom cemetery.
