The funeral took place Tuesday, Rev. O. J. Golden conducting the services; interment in the North Plains burying ground. The deceased was next to the youngest of a family of 8 children of Robert and Susannah Beedle. All passed over the river of death before him. He was born May 16, 1817, in the township of Sweden, Monroe county, N. Y. Some years later he came to Michigan and in 1847 he was united in marriage to Miss Chloie Fox, of Easton county, this state, where they lived about 19 years. They then moved to Lyons township, where they resided until about 9 years ago, and then took up their residence in Ronald, giving up the more active pursuits of life. Deceased united with the M. E. church 61 years ago. By his death his family has lost a devoted husband and father and the community a good neighbor and an honest, upright citizen.
