Mrs. Martha A. Beemer Dies At Local Hospital

Had Been Identified With City’s Commercial Life Years Ago; Funeral Friday

Mrs. Martha Alleen Beemer, widow of George Beemer, died at Community hospital at
8:30 Tuesday morning at the age of 65 years.  Mrs. Beemer had been a former
resident of Ionia, having been in business here.  Mr. Beemer died 17 years ago.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Robb, and Mrs. H.E. Bergy, both of Ionia;
a grandson, Hugh Bergy, and two sisters and one brother, of Ontario.

Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Bergy, 325 East Main street,
at 10 o’clock Friday morning.  The funeral services will be for the family only,
but those wishing to view the remains may do so at the home of Mrs. Bergy
Thursday evening.  Rev. W.F. Kendrick will conduct the services and interment
will be made in Highland Park cemetery beside her husband.
