Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Frances Beerman, 91, passed away Fri., Nov. 15, 2002.  She was born May 23, 
1911 in Ionia, the daughter of Milton and Martha (Burkholder) Gaut.  Mrs. 
Beerman loved animals, flowers and enjoyed bowling.  She also enjoyed 
traveling, especially her trips to the Mackinac Bridge every Nov. 15 with her 
daughter, Janet, who also took her to Disney World.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Beerman in 1968; son, Terry 
Beerman in 1941; her parents; brother, Frank Gaut.  Surviving are her daughter, 
Janet (John) Dickinson of Ionia; three grandchildren, Chad (Tracy) Dickinson of 
Wayland, Clint (Dana) Dickinson of Ionia and Amanda Dickinson of Ionia.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home, 
220 Rich St., Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger, Pastor of Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.  Interment will follow in Balcom Cemetery.  The family will 
receive friends and relatives from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral 
home.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia 
County Humane Society, in memory of Frances Beerman.  Arrangements are 
entrusted to the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
