HENRY BEGEROW PASSES AWAY OBITUARY At her home northwest of Lake Odessa on Saturday morning at eight o'clock, Mrs.Henry Begerow departed from scenes here on earth. After an illness of eight months of inanition and general nervous affection, during a part of which time she suffered excruciating pains, she succumbs to the final call. During her prolonged illness she was ever patient bearing her affliction with great fortitude. When eleven years of age she with her parents came from Germany and settled near Paris, Ontario. After residing there for a number of years she was united in marriage to Henry Begerow of Brantford, Ontario. In 1860 they removed to Kent Co.,Michigan. After residing there for twelve years on a farm of fifty acres, a new and larger farm was sought for to accumulate the growing needs of five younger members that had been ushered into the home, viz; Charles, William, Henry, John and Dorathe now Mrs.Marshall Maile. In January of 1881 they become residents of Odessa, and have since resided upon the farm which by their united labors have produced the improvements that made the home a more desired habitation. In the departure of Mrs. Begerow the community sustains the loss of a kind neighbor and an admirable friend who was ever willing to perform such deeds as might tend to produce favorable results. Unassuming and of a quiet nature she sought to live for that which was good. Minnie Augusta Hohn, was born March 6,1846 at Strehiz, Germany. She departed from this life Dec. 1st, 1906 aged 60 years, 8 months and 25 days. In passing from this earth she leaves a husband, four sons and a daughter to mourn the loss of a faithful and loving wife and mother. Early in life she accepted Christ as her Savior and has remained faithful to the trust she attained. In her earlier life she affiliated with the German Lutheran church and although she has not been so situated through she has not been so situated to attend the church of her choice she lived an exemplary life, ever striving to do to please those about her. She died trusting in her Lord with assurances of a celestial home. The funeral was held at her late residence Monday, Dec. 2 conducted to Rev. J.H. Green. Interment in Lake Side Cemetery. The remains were tenderly carried to their final resting place by her four sons, above mentioned.
