Forest J. Begerow, 89, of Woodland died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at Tendercare
Nursing Home in Hastings.  He was born Feb. 26, 1907, in Odessa Township, the
son of John and Venia (Beard) Begerow; He graduated from Lake Odessa High School
in 1925 and married Florence Austin Aug. 12, 1928, in Hastings.  He lived and
farmed in the area all of his life and was a member of the Woodgrove Brethren
Christian Parish and the Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife Florence; two daughters: Vivian (Kenneth) Steele, of
Woodland, and Joan (Paul) Hoffman, of McPherson, Kan.; two sons: John (Carol)
Begerow, of Grandville, and Bob (Betty) Begerow of Lake Odessa; 10
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Floyd (Beth) Begerow, of Ionia;
and sister Clarissa Peacock, of Grand Rapids.  He was preceded in death by one
great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at the Koops Funeral Chapel
in Lake Odessa with Rev. Ben Herring officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland
Memorial Park and visitation will be today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to
8:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodgrove Christian Parish
or the Lakewood Community Ambulance.
