The story as told to our reporter is as follows: About a week ago one of his associates in a playful mood tripped Mr. Behler up and he fell quite heavily. As the result of his fall an abscess formed in the abdominal cavity which soon required the services of a physician. At first he was thought to be all right but on Friday evening his illness took a decided turn for the worse and terminated in his death. Mr. Behler, who leaves behind him four children and a beloved companion, was born in Germany and came to this country quite a number of years ago. The funeral was held at his late residence on Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock Rev. J. C. Meese conducting the service and loving hands bore the remains away to their last resting place.
