DARLENE BEKINS

Died Saturday November 23, 2024-age 82 of Portland.
Born July 20, 1942, raised in Conklin, Mich.
Baptized & confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conklin, Michigan.
Since 1983, she has been a member of St.Andrew Lutheran Church in Portland, 
Mich.
Preceded in death by her parents, Cliff& Maxine Reister, & her brothers, Michael 
& Marty.
Survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan Bekins, her siblings, Jaynee(Jim) Hoag, 
Dixie Terpstra & Margie (Rich) Bloom; her children Cindy (Tom) Wessel, Julie 
(Dave) DeKam & Paul (Kristen)Petersen; step-children Kurt Bekins, Debra (Randy) 
Sutter, Brian (Connie) Bekins & Ray Bekins & numerous grandchildren & great-
grandchildren. 
Burial in Danby Township Cemetery, with a private family graveside service as 
per her wishes.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Arrangements in care of Lehman Funeral Home, Portland,MI.
